After the Day: Your Gallery, Your Album, and What to Print
What happens once the photographs are taken — and why the ones you hang matter more than the ones you scroll.
The work people remember us for happens in the weeks after the wedding, not on the day. Here is what that looks like.
The gallery
You receive a private online gallery — your own link, yours to share with family wherever they are. You can mark favourites, which is how we know which frames matter to you before we start on an album. If you want it password-protected, say so and it is.
Downloads unlock with a PIN once the balance is settled. Nothing is watermarked once it is yours.
Choosing favourites — a method that works
First pass: alone
Go through once on your own, quickly, and heart anything that makes you stop. Do not think about it.
Second pass: together
Then go through together. You will disagree about four photographs and agree about the rest.
Don't over-select
Sixty favourites makes a beautiful album. Four hundred makes a decision you will put off for a year.
Why we push albums
Not for the sale. Because in ten years the hard drive will be in a drawer and the phone will have been replaced twice, and the only version of your wedding anybody actually looks at will be the one on the shelf. We have watched it happen for enough families to stop being shy about saying it.
What to print, if you print nothing else
- One large frame of the two of you. Not the most posed one — the one where you look like yourselves.
- A small print of each set of parents with you. Give them a copy; it will outlive all of us.
- The duʿā, the signing, or whichever moment made the room go quiet.
Printing
You are given a personal print release and you may print for personal use anywhere you like. Orders placed through your gallery are fulfilled by Visual Ink Printing, our own print business — which means if something comes back wrong, you are chasing us rather than a stranger.
Photographs that stay on a drive are a receipt. Photographs on a wall are a memory.
